Part of Nidecker's biomimicry-inspired Bio Series, shaped with a 3D spooned nose and short swallowtail Nidecker calls "Drop Out," designed to sink the tail and generate lift up front in deep snow. Master Core of poplar and paulownia with carbon inlays at nose and tail. Nidecker rates it 5/5 for powder and only 1/5 for park -- a dedicated freeride tool, not an all-rounder. Whitelines' review of the earlier Beta APX generation called it a capable resort board that comes alive in the backcountry, needing an aggressive rider to unlock its stiffer flex and fast base. The Good Ride's more recent test found it an excellent front-foot-weighted carver on groomers and a very set-back, surfy ride in powder, while Mountain Weekly News's review of the wide women's 165W noted its old-school long-board feel and strong edge hold on steep terrain.
